In this study of a representative sample of Francophone adolescents living in Mon treal, adolescents from separated/divorced families attended religious services less fre quently than adolescents from widowed families. In contrast, adolescents living in legally intact families had the highest rate of church attendance. Gender differences and similarities are also presented. Overt religiosity is herein discussed in terms of its possible relevance to family disruption and cohesiveness.
